Excellent food combined with attentive service. I had a calzone with anchovies and sausage, which was excellent.
Large pepperoni calzone. Super yummy. We bought two and had this one left for the next day. We had a large pizza and a roast beef grinder too. This is a great vintage shop and worth the stop. We are visiting from the west coast for a weekend wedding.

I grew up in southern NH and moved out west 20 years ago. Every town in New England has their favorite pizza spot where the sauce is sweet, the cheese is burnt just right, and the crust is flakey and crisp. While visiting Newport with my family I got so excited to see the pictures of Village Pizza's food. I picked it up and grabbed some baklava (amazing) at the counter too. When I opened the box, I knew immediately that it was legit. Tasting their pizza brought me back instantly like that scene in Ratatouille. Thanks for keeping it real, Village Pizza!
Was going to give them 3 stars because of the service and ambiance. The restaurant looks like it still had the same decorations and fixtures from the 50's or 60's. Our server was also not very outgoing or friendly. They redeemed themselves with the food!!! We got a calzone and some hot subs. They were absolutely amazing! You could tell so fresh and the sauce seemed homemade and delicious. So filling too.
The pizza was yummy. But the cheese was a little light. If you like lots of cheese, then order extra cheese. I will for sure do that the next time.
Great food. Very good pizza and large menu for food choices for everyone. Very good lasagna, manicotti, stuffed shells and more. They come with a large warm yummy bread Baggett stuffed with butter into the cuts so it's warm and soft when applying to bread. Also a large side salad. Highly recommend for lunch and dinner it's the best food in town!
Excellent! The food is fast and very tasty. The staff is very friendly and competent. The quality of the food is high. The menu is pretty extensive, covers all the bases, and has a great many surprises. The space is huge and comfortable. The vibe is positive. The rest rooms are squeaky clean. What more could you want! The french fries could satisfy a gaggle of teenagers. The steak bomb was about the best I've ever had. It was ginormous!
